Hi all

Thank you for your lovely comments. As usual they really are much appreciated. It's lovely being back in the blogging world,,,mind you this post is being written at an ungodly hour!

You'll have to excuse the wonky picture. I did try to play around with it but it just caused me problems with the size of the picture. The background is embossed with a Crafters Companion has birthday sentiments all on the folder.  I stamped the image from lotv and as my colouring leaves a lot to be desired I left him as he was but with a little purple on his clothing and boots and added him to a piece of purple card which I used my scoring board on round the edges. My one regret about the card is I wish I'd stamped the word uncle in black not purple. Anyway not a bit of bakers twine or ribbon in sight today just a few gems.

Well I was going to say that's me done for today but as it's in the early hours I'll say I'll see you later instead....Lea x

Hiya everyone out there in Blogland...hope this finds you well. I've been in my craft room a few hours this week. I've done a bit of a book, a bit of crafting..had visitors and been visiting. Busy, busy, busy!

Anyway my card for today is one I made for my Auntie.

I started by using my piercing tool to go round the whole edge of a piece of white card. I then used two square dies to make a frame which I then put through an embossing folder. I raised this up on top of the white card and a piece of patterned paper from lotv using sticky pads. I stamped the word auntie and shaped it into a flag shape and tucked it under the frame. The flowers were stamped onto velum using a stamp from Dreamees. It was a bit of an experiment as I've never heat embossed on velum before. They were then hand cut out which took a while with my tremor - a job in itself. Afterwards I wondered why I hadnt used my ScanNCut!  I then finished with a double bow and pearls and pearl swirls. The card is actually very pretty in real life...I'm very pleased with it.

Catch you again soon...Lea x

Special friend

Hello everyone
Hope you are all well. It's just a little bit late today. I seem to go into my craft room (how good does it sound to say my craft room) very late recently. I've been spending the afternoon catching up on tv program's I've recorded as I haven't got a tv in my craft room at the moment.

Anyway I've been working on a Christmas card. The backing is a real mish mash of different card and paper. The stripy paper is from a kit I was given as were the tags and poinsettias. The image is one of my favourites again amongst stash kindly given to me by a friend of my daughter. I added a bit of kraft card which I stamped with a Penny Black stamp that came with a card magazine. This and the white card were embossed with a TL folder. I finished with seam binding, bakers twine, some gems and some dazzlers and a touch of stickles. Phew! I think that's all!!! I'm not sure what the photo will be like as it is taken on my phone as my iPad keeps saying it's run out of storage space. I'll perhaps redo it in the morning. I'm off to carry on playing...Lea x

Thank you so much for coming by and for your lovely comments.

First Christmas card of the year!

Hello everyone
Well this as it says is my first Christmas card.

I think the papers and poinsettias are a Craftwork Card set. I was given the kit. I backed it on a green mirror card and kept quite a lot of the base card showing. I like my sentiments going down sideways - it does confuse people sometimes when they open the card but I like it! Anyway I finished with a few gold pearls. Right I'm off. I'm actually wishing it was bedtime as I'm shattered today. Thanks for coming by and for your lovely comments...Lea x

Hello all

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last few posts. It's good to be back in Blogland.

Today's post (you're probably fed up with me saying this) used an image from a LOTV art pad. I noticed today there's a great offer over on LOTV so I'm probably going to invest in more of them. I thought they'd be a good thing to use for my Christmas cards as I'm completely behind with them. I've made the grand total of NONE so far!!! Anyway the card is for my SIL.

He likes fishing when he has time. I used papers ftom the male pad again. I used a corner punch to change the shape a little. The wording is from two different stamp set. I added a little owl charm alongside bakers twine and a few gems.

That's me done again guys. Until next time....Lea x

Pop up Box card!

Hi everyone
I have no idea how this post is going to turn out as I've had to take the pics on my phone and they don't look very big! Heyho. Anyway this is my very first pop up box card. It is for my grandson. I used a die set from Tattered Lace. It's not a huge die but it will be fine. Now I've done one I think I'll find it easier and quicker to make the next one. I'm quite pleased with it for a first attempt!

That's me short and sweet today. Am off to craft for a while before bed.  Night all....Lea x

Hiya all
Well it's been a few days I know. I made this card last week and I haven't done very much head is in another world at the moment. I'm still trying to find my way round the local area..I've found a new Slimming World and the ladies seem very nice. I've had a few visitors which is really nice as it used to be months between family visitors because of the distance.

Anyway I digress, back to my card. This is for my eldest son who will be a whopping 35 years old this week! I can't believe it really...I still feel like a youngster myself lol! The card is made using a lotv art pad image (quelle surprise!) and the papers are from my male pad again.

I added bakers twine, and the screw brads again to finish.

I'm planning a day in my craft room tomorrow so hopefully it won't be so long between posts this time. I'm off to do a bit of blog hopping myself now...see you there...Lea x

Male birthday card

Hiya everyone.

Well I've made it here again with another card....another male card at that lol! Bet you can't guess where the image came from..yep my lotv art pad again! I've nearly used them all up. Methinks I need to invest in a couple of more of these.

The backing papers came from the Men's pad I bought from The Range. I backed the image onto white card and mirror card and stamped the wording on it. I then embossed a piece of mirror card and added three coloured screw brads to it. I added three of the screws to the backing paper too. I finished with some bakers twine. I was quite pleased with the end result.

Anyway that's me done for another day. Thank you so much for coming by and for your lovely supportive comments. It is very much appreciated....Lea x
