60th

Hello all

Hope you are well. How fab is it to have the gorgeous weather back...although I wonder how soon until we are complaining it is too hot. I must admit I am torn between crafting and sitting in the garden in the sun. Today the crafting won because I need to finish a couple of cards off before everything is packed up for us moving to a new home.

I actually didn't think I'd be able to make this lovely lady a card as I'd already packed up some of my stash but I managed to retrieve some bits especially. My friend is going to be 60 this week. I can show this card before as she is pretty computer illiterate lol....

I'm not sure where my papers are from..they are one of the first packs I ever bought.

The 60 die and surround  are from Tonic, the background one is my fave Sue Wilson one which keeps creeping in! The wording is from Crafters Companion. I didn't realise until I went to our local craft shop that CC had started to do word dies. It's great because you can buy them little by little. I finished with lace, ribbon and gems. Oh and a flower!

That's me done...until next time...Lea x

LOTV art pad!

Hello all

How are you all? Hope you're having a good day. Mines been pretty quiet, not a lot achieved in the Brawn household today I'm afraid! I have a card to show that I've made for my Dad's birthday. I usually make two for him but I ended up buying most of my July cards because I'm starting to box my stuff up ready to move home.

Yet again I used my fave art pad....this is turning out to be the best money I've spent during my crafting time. This was backed onto black and then onto coordinations card. It's not very clear in the pic but I distressed the coordination layer with the edge of my scissors. I've never done this before and was quite pleased with how it looked.  I did the same with both lots of wording.

My papers are Docrafts Papermania. I have the feeling the large wording was also from a Fathers Day set of stamps by them too. I finished with plenty of black gems.

Anyway guys that's me done for today. Hope to catch up with you again soon..Lea x

Another Fathers Day card.

Hi all

Well the weather has changed a bit today. Please can we have the sun back!

Before I talk about my post today I just want to say once again thank you so much for your lovely comments. It means a lot that you visit my blog.

Today's card is another Fathers Day card. It's made with another LOTV image from their coloured art pads...I've decided I'm going to invest in some more of these as they are fab. The men's one is so useful!

The card is very similar to the last one.  I've changed the SB die for a different one. In case you hadn't noticed I use this one quite a lot.

Anyway that's me done for now. See you again soon...Lea x

Monochrome

Good evening everyone

I hope this finds you well. It's been a lovely day weather wise here.....I just hope we get more of the same.

My card is an unusual colour way for me. Black and white is definitely not my norm but the lady who ordered it said no pink please. When I suggested this monochrome look it was a definite yes! The papers are from a Docrafts Papermania pad - I have these in three or four colour ways. The embossed layer is made using an SB embossibilities folder. These were both backed onto black card. The central die cut is a Sue Wilson one - it is from her Greek collection and is actually my favourite at the mo. The flowers are from the new Tattered Lace dies, I really like the fact you get a little embossing folder with these to give the petals texture. Finally the '50' is from a Tonic die...as you can see I have a real mishmash of dies in my collection.

I finished with checked ribbon, lace, some gems, swirls and dazzlers.

Before I finish I'd like to thank you all once again for your support of my blog....I really appreciate all your lovely comments. My posting has been a bit erratic lately due to me having a lot going on at the minute. Hopefully when things settle I can get back to my normal posting and visiting your blogs....Lea x

Fathers Day card

Hello all

Well I hope you're all well. Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post. I'm sorry I haven't been around your blogs as much as usual but I've been up to my eyeballs lately. I must admit I do miss visiting you all. Hopefully I can have a mosey around later to catch up.

I've managed to put together three cards over the last few days by working on them all at the same time. This is one of them. The image is from an LOTV art pad. The papers and circular sentiment are also from LOTV. The die cut is a SB one.....the papers are backed onto Kraft card. I finished with a few buttons.

I'll be back to show you another card tomorrow.  Until then...Lea x

Birthday card

Well hello everyone

Long time no see. I hope this finds you all well out there in Blogland. I've had a load on my plate so havent done much crafting at all. My lovely son decided to ask me at the last minute to make this birthday card for his girlfriend.

I lightly inked an embossing folder with pink ink and put it through my ebosser. This was backed onto pink card. I added ribbon and lace to this. I used a Sue Wilson die and added the wording which I had cut on my ScanNCut. A large bow and a flower cut out with a Tattered Lace die finished the card along with a dazzler and a butterfly. I must admit I had some other flowers cut out too but refrained from piling them on!

Anyway I'm off again. I'm not sure when I'll be on next but hopefully it won't be too long...until then....Lea x
