Pretty in peach

Hello everyone

Hope this finds you all well. The weather started fine here today but it looks like that's about to change coz it's gone pretty dark outside now.

I've actually had an hour in my craft room. I didn't have a great weekend as I felt pretty awful. Probably my own fault as I decided to go to aqua aerobics last week - unfortunately it didn't have the effect it's supposed to on fibro...all it did was knock me for six. But I feel a little better today so decided to finish a card I started last week. The style is a little different to my norm. I thought I'd try this crossover style that I see others make. I'm quite pleased with it.

To make the base of the card I used two 6 x 6 card bases. Maybe I should have taken some pics as I went along for those that don't know how to make this type of card but I didn't! I checked it out on YouTube before I started! The tag was cut out on my ScanNCut which made it easier to get the layers of papers the right size. The papers are from Craftwork Cards. The flowers are cut using my new dies from Tattered Lace. I added lace, ribbon and pearl string to pretty it up.

I will definitely make this style again as it's quite pretty. Anyway hopefully I will get a few more good days in my craft room this week. I'm fed up with being a whinge bag lately. Until next time all...Lea x

Anniversary card

Hello everyone

I hope this finds you well. Thank you for your kind comments on my last post. It seems like ages since I last posted....I have really struggled to get my mojo back. I'm finding it quite difficult crafting at the moment as my tremor is getting worse in my arm. I'm a week into taking some new meds but unfortunately there's no difference yet - I was hoping there would be as when my father started this new med (he has a dystonic tremor in his arm too) it was like a miracle had happened and his arm settled very quickly. I've got to up the meds this week so we will see what happens. It's very frustrating as crafting is a huge part of my life now I can no longer work. It really makes you realise how much we all take for granted in our lives while we have good health.

Anyway whinge over.  I do have a card to show you. It's quite a simple anniversary card. It is quite pretty in real life. I started by inking an embossing folder with a brayer and passing it through my ebosser. I believe this folder was a freebie a few months back from a mag....I could be wrong. I embossed a salmony pink colour card with a dotty folder (I actually used the debossed side in the end) and backed this onto white card. The hearts are from a Tonic die set - after I cut them I inked round the edges of them with the pink ink I used on the embossing folder. The flower is one of the new Tattered Lace ones. I ordered these from C&C the other day. There were quite a few sets of flower/ leaf dies in all and they all came with an embossing folder to give the die cuts texture. They were well worth the money I paid for them...I'm really pleased with my purchase. I stamped the wording onto a flag shape and finished with a few gems and a tiny pink bow.

Thanks for dropping by, I'll see you all again soon....Lea x

Wedding card 2

Hi everyone

Thank you so very much for the lovely comments on my last blog post.  I really am very grateful for the fact you take the time to come along and read my ramblings.

Another wedding card todaymade for the same couple. It's completely different to the last one as you can see.

I used LOTV papers backed onto purple card. The die cut is a Tonic one again. All I've added then is ribbon, flowers and swirly gems.

That's me short and sweet today. I'm off to make anniversary cards next. Until next time...Lea x

Wedding card

Hello all

I hope this finds you all well. Thank you for the lovely comments...I'm very grateful that you pop by and say such lovely things.

Well I can now show you the first of two wedding cards I've made. The couple are now happily hitched so it's safe.

The papers are freebies from LOTV. The heart dies are Tonic ones. The wording was done on my ScanNCut. It was a complete fluke that the flowers matched - I'd bought these a few weeks before. I finished with lace, ribbon and pearls.

It's good to be back. Watch this space tomorrow when I show the other card I made for the couple....Lea x

Sugar Buttoms

Hello all

Long time no see! It's been a few days again...once again it's taken me ages to get a card together. I decided to go for something simple by using a kit I bought a couple of years ago and hadn't really used. It is called Sugar Buttons and actually has some quite sweet elements in it. The stripe paper is actually quite sparkly but you can't really see it in the pic. I just finished with ribbon, pearls and buttons.

That's me done for today. Thanks for coming by and for leaving such lovely comments...Lea x
