Pretty Lilac

Hello all

Well I don't think I've ever gone so long between blogging. It's been two whole weeks...I have no idea what I've done in that time. It's not like life has suddenly become mega busy or anything. I must admit I've lost my mojo a little. I have made two wedding cards but I can't show them just yet. I have just finished this card which sat on my desk for a week...I just couldn't get going on it. Today I decided it's time to finish it. It is for my son to give to my Mum for her birthday. I used a Sue Wilson die which is really pretty. I can think of a few ways to use it so watch this space. The paper is from a new pack I bought last week - I believe it's a Papermania pack. It's very pretty and there's lots of lovely embellishments you can buy to go with it.

The butterflies are from a Joy die that I was given. I just love these - they are my favourite of all my butterfly dies. The wording is from Tattered Lace dies that were free from Create and Craft as I am a member. The ribbon is from my stash as are the gems.

Well that's me done for today. I'll try and get round the blogs I follow later. Thanks for dropping by. Until the next time...Lea x

Happy Birthday Nephew

Hello everyone

I hope you're all enjoying the good weather. I must admit I thought it would be little warmer here than it was. Mr B. said it was like a summers day where he's been today. I don't know whether the fact I felt a bit rough is why I didn't feel it was as warm.

My card today is yet another male one. It must seem that I seem to be continually churning out Nephew cards...that's because I have hahaha! This is the last male one for a while. I'm onto Wedding and girly ones next. The image is an LOTV one from an Art pad. This image is just so cute. I am going to invest in a female Art pad next as I think they're amazingly versatile. The papers are also LOTV but are free from a magazine last month. The colours are interesting and probably not what I'd normally choose but I had a complimentary mirror card so thought why not? The wording is - yes you guessed it is also LOTV. I added some bakers twine and some gems I coloured myself using a Promarkers pen.

Thanks for coming by. I am very grateful for your lovely comments. I am taking a break from Facebook....I'm just hoping I can remember where to find you all so I can continue to pop by to your blogs. Hopefully using the links from your comments should get me there. Until then...Lea x

And back to another male card!

Hello everyone

Hope you've had a fab day out in the sun. The weather here has been fab today.

Well folks it's yet another male card from me today. It's becoming a habit lately. The best of it is, is that I'm actually working on another male one at the minute. It's never ending! Heeelllpp!

Another good old LOTV image has surfaced again. I started by backing some brown gingham paper onto brown coordination card. I added the image and added the aperture layer to this on pads. The wording was stamped in brown ink. I finished with some green gems and three knots of bakers twine.

Anyway that's me very short and sweet today. Until next time...Lea x

Good evening all

Well I've been AWOL for a few days. I hope you've all had a fab Easter It's time to do a little catching up with the blogs I usually frequent but before I did I thought I'd blog myself. I've been waiting to show this card for a couple of weeks but have been waiting for the birthday girl to receive it first. Mind you it seemed to take an age to arrive at it's destination and was late and it was posted in plenty of time!

These stamps were a freebie from a magazine and are fab. I followed an idea from the mag to make this card. I stamped the leaves onto white card and placed them under an embossed piece of card with an aperture in it. I stamped the fushia flowers and cut them out. These were raised on sticky pads to give the card some dimension. All of this was backed onto purple card. The sentiment was from a stamp by John Lockwood...I was very lucky to win a set of his stamps on his blog. I finished with pink and purple ribbon and gems.

Anyway enjoy your Easter Monday and catch you again soon...Lea x
