Good morning all on this lovely wet morning

Thank you once again for all the lovely comments on my last post.

I can't believe the change in the weather again...yesterday was really quite nice. Here we are today back to the normal English weather..still I suppose it keeps some of us in crafting!

It's been a strange week in our household this week. Our son has returned from a five day break in Nice - lucky thing - I'd forgotten what it was like just to be two of us. It was really quite nice (shhshh don't tell him though!). The wash loads were very depleted, it was quiet (not that he's rowdy!), no 'footballs on tonight Mum', no texts at about 4.30pm asking 'what's for dinner, I'm starving?'. Ok I hold my hands up just a little bit and say ok maybe I missed him a smidge :)

Anyway to my card now. I made this a few weeks ago but I've had to hold it back as it was for my very lovely Sister-In-Law Julie who's birthday it is today...if you're reading this Happy Birthday dear mwah! The background paper is one of my faves from LOTV. I embossed a white piece of card and then used a border die on it from SB. Ribbon, lace and pearl beading were added across the card. The flowers are made from SB Pretty Petal dies and I've just offset layered them in purple and white. The tag was hand cut and stamped in purple. I finished with a purple bow and little pearls.

Do you ever feel you state the obvious when you write up a card lol...just curious..Lea x

Sideways view...sorry lol!

Hi everyone

Before I start rambling I'd just like to say thank you so much for your lovely supportive comments on my last blog post. I know many of you are in the same boat and have long term health problems and if there's any time you need to moan and groan please feel free. Thank you and welcome to my newest followers...while I wasnt looking I gained two new followers..I've finally broke the 50 mark lol! Anyway I'm in a much more positive frame of mind today. It's taken me nearly a week to make this card and do I! I'm just frustrated every time I try to turn the photo round it makes the picture too big for my blog. This always seems to happen when I photograph an A5 card. I just can not work out an answer so I'm sorry for all those with bad necks it's a sideways view of my card today hahaha.

I started with a coloured card blank from Kanban and added a paper from their Lovely in Lace kit. I then ran another card blank through an embossing folder and cut it to fit hiding the join under the thin green ribbon (you'd never have known if I hadn't have said lol). A band of the paper was added across the middle with lace added top and bottom. I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with a die from the Sue Wilsons Greek collection (Santorini) and layed this onto another die cut from the same dies. I inked through the dies to get the lovely green edge. I then finished with a double bow - wow it is difficult to tie a bow with my hand...not moaning...just saying hahaha. I think I'm going to have to invest in a bow maker (if you've got any recommendations please let me know) as I love bows on cards. I added gems, a dazzler and lovely flowers. It turned out really pretty and I'm really chuffed with it.

Well I'll finish there for now. I'll see you in a few days on here but will still be popping by on everyone's blogs when I can.  Until then...Lea x

I'm sorry!

Hi my lovely blogging friends

First off an apology from me...I've been in a mood hence I've not visited any blogs for quite a few days. It is very remiss of me and actually I've missed visiting you all as it's part of my crafty life. Unfortunately I've had lots on my mind...Mr B is being made redundant next month, I have applied for ill health retirement which has broke my heart even though I knew it was coming. I know I'm not well enough to work but it's that finally saying so. My hand has played me up something terrible which is frustrating the hell out of me as it's taking me ages just to make one card at the minute. I think things just hit me and sent me into a downward spin..I have tried to pull myself up by the boot strings and I do feel a little better about things today. I've been visited by some good friends which has helped loads so I thank my wonderful friends.

I have finally finished a card my Mum ordered for her sister. It's took me an age to make as it's got lots of fiddly bits on it but I got there in the end and am really pleased with it. I've decided - does it really matter how long it takes to make? Actually no!

The pictures aren't very good as that is another problem - actually holding the camera still to get a pic. The mirror card didn't help either. The heart dies are from Tonic and the gold leaves are from a Sue Wilson die. The wording was PC generated. The butterflies are from some dies I was given and I couldn't believe how beautifully they cut. I'm not sure of the make...they are a purply colour. They are better than my SB butterfly dies. Everything else was from in my stash.

Right misery guts is signing off now - I hope to return soon with a smile on my face. I promise not to moan again for ages. Catch you all again soon...Lea x

Hello all

Gosh it's been a few days since I last blogged but I really haven't been in the mood. I have made a couple of cards that I can't show at the moment but I really am on a go slow. I have no idea what's wrong with me...maybe a swift kick up the behind may help. I've got the feeling it is because I'm not really happy in my crafting spot at the moment. I've moved into the spare room which feels very crowded with my stuff in it. I thought I'd like it in there as it's one of my favourite rooms in the house. Sorry that is my moan over now...maybe now I've said it I'll start to settle down.

This card isn't what I'd normally make but I wanted something very quick as I saw a story on Facebook about a little boy in America who had been quite poorly and had lots of different life problems. It is his birthday this week and apparently he loves stickers and adores receiving mail.  His parents had asked if people would be kind enough to send him some mail for his birthday or some stickers. Well that really tugged on my heart strings and I thought if I couldn't spare a couple of quid for postage what could I do. Anyway I whipped this up super quick using papers and an image that were free in a escapes me which one...yes I know I can never remember lol! The cupcakes and sentiment were stamps from the same freebie. I painted the cupcakes with memento ink and added some Stickles to the icing. I finished with some gems.

Well hopefully it won't be too long before I am blogging again. I'm hoping to get in my craft room tomorrow. Until next time everyone..take care...Lea x
