Well it's cooled down a little here this morning and I don't think I like it! There's quite a breeze coming through the open windows (I like a little air in the place especially as with the fibro I can't always go very far and sometimes not at all). I like to breathe the air but brrrr it's a bit chilly after it being so warm!
Anyway I have a card to blog today. It is a male card for an 80th birthday. As most of you know I do struggle with male cards and this was no different. It actually started out as a 6 x 6" card (for the young ones 15cm x 15cm) but it ended up as an 8 x 8" (20cm x 20cm) card because I kept adding layers and adding layers. I am actually very pleased with it. It is a very different colour for me too. I don't normally do orange!
One of the paper pads a lady gave me a few months back had this orange double sided paper - on one side the orange pattern and on the other the cars. I decided to make panels so chopped into it and thought I'd have three panels of the cars, I didn't like it! I flipped one over so I had the orange and yes it was okish. I ended up putting them through a Happy Birthday embossing folder (although you can't see it) because it was too flat. I didn't like it as a smaller card so just kept extending it with more and more white and black layers. The final white layer has been through my dotty embossing folder. The sentiments were PC generated. As usual I can't remember what the name of the SB dies is - it's one of their earlier ones. I inked through the die whilst they were still in place using Memento Tangerine ink - these are my favourite ink pads. I find them easy to use especially as I use them on my glass cutting mat now (I just couldn't get on with my blending mat at all). I then just finished with some tiny, black gems.
Hopefully you can see the cars in this picture.
Well I'm off again for now. I've still have ANOTHER male card to make lol. I could be a while...Lea x
