Mother's Day card

Hello all
It's so nice when the recipient of your card has received them coz then you can post them on your blog - yay!
I made two cards for my grandsons to give to their mum. This is one of them. It features a Gorjuss image which is coloured with pro markers.

She was cut out with SB labels 18. I added lace, ribbon, gems and flowers to finish it on. The happy Mother's Day stamp is just one I picked up from Hobbycraft. I hope you like it. I must admit I particularly love the colours.

Have fun...Lea x

Wedding card

Morning fellow bloggers
I hope this finds you all well. I have been dying to show you this card I made ages ago for a wedding. The fact it had the recipients names on stopped me! Well here it is...

I used Tonic dies for the card. The set is very versatile. It also incorporates the Mother's Day die I used on an earlier card. I used lots of silver mirror card, ribbon, flowers and pearls to finish. The third pic is of the box I made for it. Well that's me for now. Until next time...Lea x

Mother's Day card

Good morning everyone in Blogland. Hope this finds you well. My card today is similar to the last one I posted. The difference is this one was for a commissioned order. I used the same tonic dies. These have various sentiments and different patterns so will be very versatile. The pretty paper is from a LOTV pack. I added some embossed pink card. Across the centre I put some lace. I really love the look of lace on cards. I've been using pearl on a string recently on my cards. When I originally bought it though I thought might use it occasionally - well I had to buy some more yesterday as I've finished it!

I added a little bunch of flowers with a ribbon bows and finished with some faux pearls. After these two cards being seen online  I now have another two Mother's Day cards to make. I will catch up with you again in a couple of days. Bye for now...Lea x

So chuffed!

Its been a few days again and I don't know where they've gone as usual. I hope you're all well.
I've been making Mothers Day cards for the last few days. I must admit I'm extremely chuffed with this card. I've used papers from a pack of papers I got from The Works. They cost a whole pound! Well I've bought a sewing machine as I just love stitching on cards. I sewed along the width of each section - this is actually one whole sheet not lots of different papers. I used dies from Tonic for the focal point. I added pearls, lace and a mixture of flowers. The flower buds came all the way from the USA. A dear friend handmade them. She also made me a beautiful card which I will show you too. You can find her blog at http://christinehahn4.blogspot.co.uk she is a very talented lady. I hope you'll visit her blog to have a look.

This card is for my mum so I hope she'll like it.

This beautiful card and rosebuds were made by my very talented friend Christine. I think you'll agree it's stunning.

Well that's me done for today. I'll be back tomorrow. Until then...Lea x

I'm entering into the following challenge:

40th birthday card

Hi everyone
Well it's very late so it's a quick post today. This card is a commissioned one. The image is a LOTV one.

The image is coloured with promarkers then I die cut it. The papers are from a freebie. I rolled the flowers and added pearl gems and ribbon. The 40 is from a tonic die.

Well that's me done today. Until next time...Lea xxx

Megs creation

Hello out there in Blogland.
A slightly different blog tonight. Last night my sons girlfriend Megan came to play. The boys were watching a very poor game of football so bad that even Alf decided he would rather be with us. Now Megan is a big fan of crafting but hasn't done very much for ages. I promised today's blog would show what Megan and I had been up to. It just so happened that the next day was her friends birthday and Monday will be her mums. Megan's mums  card was made by her and we both had a hand in her friends.

This a picture of Megan hunting through my boxes of stamps.

Followed by Megan making a mess (just kidding I told her I was going to blame it on her).

I think you'll agree Megan has got a real eye for colour. Her image is a stamp from Angelica and friends from Crafters Companion and has been coloured with promarkers. She added ribbon and lots of embellishments. She did a fab job.
My card was a shoe stamp chosen by Megan. I think it's a Creative Expressions one. I actually don't use these stamps enough. The sentiment came from the Angelica and friends set.

One of my favourite things at the moment is the pearls on a string. I used this on top of the ribbon. Across the yellow band I added some webbing just to take a way the plainness. I added some pearls and a die cut butterfly (this is actually hiding a mess I made).

All in all it was a lovely evening - thanks Megan. Oh I don't think Alf enjoyed it....

Catch you next time...Lea x

Steam engine

Hi all in Blogland

I wish I could get here more often - it's not I don't to get to go blog hopping it's just I don't seem to make cards quick enough. This card is a commissioned one. I was asked for a 60th male card hopefully with a steam engine. Well out came all my kits because I just knew somewhere in my stash there were steam trains. Interestingly enough it was in the first ever kits I'd bought. I used card stock and toppers from 'for the gentlemen' by Hunkydory! Result! I used new numerical dies from Tonic for my rosette. I cut the 60 backed onto card stock then using a scoring board made my 'rosette' from gold mirror card. I added a few gems and buttons with some thread through. Hopefully it will suit the lady who ordered it.

Well I'm off now. I'm going to attempt to make a pop up box card now. Watch this space....Lea xxx

What a mess!

Hi all
a quick drop in this evening. As I've said I've been making some wedding invites for my daughter. Well I finished them but have had a shock. My 11 year old grandson face timed me today and gave me a tour of his new home. I suggested I take him to my craft room bearing in mind last time he saw it, it was my sons bedroom. Well he made all the right noises until he decided to comment on the mess. After he'd gone I took a look around and was shocked to see my mess strewn around me. Anyway the point is I've spread all over including covering the ironing board. How did I ever craft in my little space in the living room? No wonder my living room now looks double the size. Here's some pics

Well now I've got that off my chest I'm off. Until next time....Lea x

Invites

Hi blogging friends

It's been a few days since I blogged last (sounds like I'm going into confession). I've not made any cards this week. I got my head down today to make 37 invitations for my daughter. I used a swan stamp that came as a freebie from a magazine. Actually come to think of it so did the word invitation. I stamped them both onto white card which was then backed onto black. I glued this onto a hammered effect card base. I then finished these with a variety of ways - gems, pearls it bows. Very simple really.

I've just got to put the important inserts into them otherwise no one will know where they're going and what for!

I have a new follower Christine on board.  Like me she is a sufferer of fibromyalgia and it is lovely because not only are we following each other's blogs we have become pen friends. I have never written emails as long as I'm doing. I feel as I've know her for years. She is very new to this blogging malarkey - I know she hasn't been able to blog much this week but I hope you'll pop over to see her at http://christinehahn4.blogspot.co.uk/?m  I know Annie has already.
Right I'm off now. Until next time everyone...Lea x

Not a happy bunny

Hello all in Blogland.
As it says above I'm a tad cheesed off today. I just can not come up with anything creative today. I've made a couple of male cards but although they're okish I'm not completely enthralled.

I used two different embossing folders on the cards. I then just added a band across each card. The brown one had bakers twine added and faux gems. I used a happy birthday die on both. This was a freebie with a magazine. They are simple cards to make.

Well am off now..until next time...Lea x
