More Christmas

Hi all
Wow I am shattered. I've been to visit the family this weekend. It's been fab to see my parents, kids and grandchildren. I wish I could see more of them.

Well it's back to that time of year card wise. I keep ducking in and out of Christmas cards and am pleased to say I've nearly finished. The one I'm posting today is made by embossing gold card with an embossilicious folder. I backed this onto some red glitter card. I love it - it's such a simple effect. I added some ribbon and a pointsetta to finish it.

I've got some more of these folders. I can't wait to have a go at using them. They are such quick and easy cards to make. Off to have a play now...Lea x

Footie!

Well, well, well I do believe I've made two days on the trot. First off I'd like to say thank you to those people that sent their good wishes to me while I've been poorly. Thank you so much - it really does pick me up knowing there's people out there.

Anyway to today's card. As the title says its a footie one. I used a football stamp from the Camden Town set by Crafters Companion. It's a nice simple card and fab that if you know football mad people the colour can be changed accordingly. Mind you this card is for an Arsenal supporter! Do you think they'll notice it's not red?

The background paper is done using a large stamp which I then put through an embossing folder for some texture. I then coloured it completely with a blue ink. The sentiments are from sets I've had a long time.

Well I'm off to craft. I have 23 cards to make for work so I'd better get on. Watch this space to see what I come up with....Lea x

Feeling much better.

Hi everyone out in Blogland.

Well I'm pleased to report I'm on the up this week. I've had loads of catching up to do as if I'm out of action it seems everyone else is too! Tomorrow brings a heap of ironing unfortunately.

I have another baby card which is similar to the last one. I am actually all babied out now so if anyone is out there expecting at the moment can you please hold off for a bit....thank you!

I pretty much used similar ingredients to the last card. I just gave them a different layout. I added the date of birth as I had a space calling out for something.

Hopefully I can move on and get my proper crafting head on now I feel better. Hope to catch you all again soon....Leax

All quiet!

Hi everyone
Well it's been very quiet here on my blog this week.  As some of you may know I have fibromyalgia - unfortunately I have been in a flare up this week. I have not been able to craft at all as I have been in so much pain. I am gutted as I just love my crafting. I have been able to make a
card today for a friend who has just had a beautiful baby boy. I also have another to make as I also had a new Great nephew too!

I must admit it took me an age to make this card. My head was all over the place.
I used a stamp for the ted and coloured him with my pro markers. I then faffed about for ages with lace, my SB dies and some baby papers (new arrival - Forever Friends pad). This is where I ended up...Lea x

New baby!

Hello all you lovely people out there!

I'm very late today - actually it's only just still 'today'. I've had a busy few days. I'm well and truly back into the swing of work. Now my aim is to get my dieting and gym bunny head back on. Both have been up the creek for quite a few months now. I did actually make it to the gym this evening!

When I got home I had to get my head down to a baby card for somebody at work. The thing is baby cards can't wait can they? You just have to get them done sometime before the babies first birthday :) well I do hope you like it.

Well I must be off otherwise I'll never get up in the morning. Night all....Lea x

More Christmas

Hello all

Well another extremely, fast weekend has been and gone. Where on earth does it go? It's a third of the way through September already which is why I've been working on Christmas cards again. I keep throwing a couple out in between making other cards.

I'm actually nearly there apart from with those really 'special' cards. I've also been asked by someone at work to do all their family Christmas cards. Anyway I kept these ones very simple. I stamped the sentiment straight onto the base card. I then used my SB snowflake and Christmas tree dies to sit on top of my layers.

As I said very simple cards!  Well until next time all....Lea x

Hooray it's Saturday!

Good morning on this bright, sunny Saturday morning.

I'm not going to waffle on this morning - I'm going straight in with my card. I have done another card similar to one I made the other day for a 40th. I seem surrounded by people having big birthdays. I used my bordabilities dies....yet again! I love, love, love them. I computer generated the sentiment which I die cut out. My background paper is from a LOTV pad. I finished with some flower peel offs which I laid onto cream paper and cut out. I then just finished with some bling and ribbon.

Have a fabulous weekend all...Lea x

40th birthday

Good evening all!

I can not believe I am blogging so late again. I have so much time during the day that I must start trying to get it done earlier.

My card is another for a friend at work. I've used another LOTV stamp which after being die cut has then been inked around the edge in pink. I've done this while it was still in the die so I got an edge that stands out. I then used a set of stamps to ink my sentiment. This was all mounted onto LOTV paper.  I added flowers, ribbon and some bling to finish off. I just know I will be using the LOTV stamps a lot as I just adore the images.

Well I'm off yet again. Hopefully I will catch up a little earlier tomorrow. Take care all....Lea x

Cakes!

Good evening bloggers.

I'm a little late tonight. Well I've survived the first three days back at school and actually it's been good to be back with my fab colleagues and the children.

I had time to finish a card I started yesterday. I've got some new SB dies (yes more!) and they are gorgeous. I coloured a stamped image from LOTV with promarkers and die cut it. I bought some new LOTV stamps and papers recently and they are gorgeous. I added some flowers, ribbon and bling. I'm pretty pleased with the finished card.

Hope you agree! Until next time...Lea x

Big birthday

Hello all out there in Blogland.

Well the day finally came and it was return to work day :( All those teachers and TAs will know what I mean. I'm sure it's nearly time for me to retire (yeah right...in another 15years).

Anyway fortunately I am part time and I was able to make a card. A friend at work asked me to make one for someone who cares for her parents so here it is!

I just had to use my new bordabilities dies from SB - you could see them a lot in the future as I love them. The paper is new too from LOTV. My sentiment was computer generated and die cut with SB. The flowers I found in my stash. They are peel offs which I put on cream card and cut out. A bit of ribbon and bling as usual and done!!

Catch you again tomorrow...Lea x
